Using the key or the remote, i hear the release but the trunk still does not open. Fiddling with the remote I got it to open but not anymore. I tried going through the back and the little piece of plastic you take off does not give me much room to do anything. I click the remote and i see the latch (long pin or bar) move back and forth but the trunk stays closed. Any suggestions? Someone mentioned that it might be that on the metal part of the latch there are 2 symbols (Lock and unlock) and that it could be in the locked position. Even if this is the problem, to fix it I still need to be able to open the trunk to fix the problem.

I had an issue with my rear hatch not opening when I would pull on the handle that is under the lip. I noticed that is was stuck and had to physically readjust it forward because the last time I opened it I had to pull the handle towards me and it got stuck in that position. I ended up having to push the handle forward in order to open the hatch and once it was open I sprayed lubricant on all of the joints for the handle.

hi, mine also gets stuck and i either push it back or or press on the remote a few times and the handle gets unstuck. But it still does not fix the problem that I can't open the trunk.
