I've had my 2012 Tucson for about 4 years now - almost from day 1, there's been a mysterious thunking sound that occurs intermittently when going slowly over speed bumps, etc. It sounds metallic and it's a loud THUNK - sounds like it's coming from in between the passenger door and the passenger side rear wheel. I've taken it in to multiple dealers and they can't seem to duplicate it or find anything wrong. It went away for about 4 months, but today, I heard it 5 times on my lunch break alone. I'm tired of pouring money into this thing (you name it - it's gone wrong on this car). Any suggestions as to what it might be? The control arm was replaced last year - I thought that fixed it because the thunk stopped for awhile, but now it's back. I keep thinking no one seems to find anything wrong, and it's been doing it off-and-on for 4 years now, that it can't be that serious, but the sound makes me cringe everytime I hear it. Any suggestions? Thank you
