Just got a used 2012 GLS and found that none of the power sockets are working.

Found that the cig lighter was just rusted up inside, so got that fixed.

But the accessory socket (which is very clean) is not working. Neither is the one for the passengers, which I assume is on the same circuit.

Checking voltage at the fuse box (with key set to ON) I get 12 for the cig lighter and .01 for the power outlet. Checked a few times, definitely not zero, but .01 - .02v. Fuses are fine.

Where do I go from here?

Each socket should have a separate fuse!!! Be sure both tabs of the fuse have 12V, one side is the power in and other the load to the socket. Be certain, visually looking is not enough.

After that it maybe behind the actual socket something damaged, although rare.

Fuses can look good but be bad. Swap them with known good ones and retest.

Very good, but i would check the chart on the fuse cover lid for the true Amps of that fuse location. I have never seen a lighter socket in nearly two decades more than 15A. 20 in the olden days on some but rare.

I suspect someone have a accessory that kept blowing it and upped the rating to get by. But blew it anyway at some point. 10 or 15 amps is the norm. 25A is definitely wrong. Owners manual should also have the fuse listing.

25A is listed for the Power Socket on 2007

While looking for how to pull the console to fix my cig lighter socket, stumbled across this. For mine, the Cig ligher ( left side) is a 15A fuse, the Power Outlet (Right Side) is a separate 25 A circuit. That might also feed the power socket near the back hatch, haven't checked.
