A couple of weeks ago the engine light came on. The gas cap wouldn't click on the last fill up so replaced gas cap. Thought the light would go off after a dozen trips, but it didn't. Had diagnostic scan.. indicated fuel pressure loss. They turned off the check engine light, it came back on 30 miles later. What could be the problem?

The car runs fine..no hesitation or sputtering..no loss of power..but they did diagnose it as a fuel pressure issue

I don't have that information...
OK. In that case the answer to your original question is :

What could be the problem?
blocked fuel filter
kinked fuel line
faulty fuel pump...could be the low pressure pump or the high...eeny, meeny, miny, moe
cam shaft wear
faulty pressure sensor
faulty pressure control valve
faulty PCM
or faulty wiring to any of the electrical components mentioned above.

Look on your invoice for the code. It should be noted.
