The 2011-2013 have a 6 pin connector and the 2014-2016 have an 8 pin connector. Shark racing sells a 6 to 8 pin harness that will make it plug and play with no we're cutting required.
I've seen one or two people here in years past say that they had trouble getting the LED strips on the 2014-2016 projector models to work on the 2011-2013. No idea if they were using the shark racing harness or DIY wiring.
