I have a 2011 Sonata 2.0T SE and am going to trade up to a 2.0T limited. I have been reading reviews and they all say the MPG on the 2013 is terrible. On my 2011 now, I do a lot of highway driving and average 35mpg. Is the MPG true or are these people not giving the engine a chance to break in?

I don't have a ton of experience since my 2013 is only two months old and has little over 2600 miles on it. I drive highway to work and I turn the eco on and set cruise to about 67 and I average 35 - 40. City cuts that down but on average on a tank of gas my average mpg is 27.

Intake and max inflated tires on my 13 range in the lower 30's running 75-80mph.
I plan on doing some complete exhaust mods after my Jeep is done so that the gasses coming out do so in a more efficient way. that should push it further into the mid 30's.

Way I understand it, Eco doesn't matter w/ highway driving...it's for city driving, by not revving as high and not downshifting as much...correct?

2011 I get ~ 34 @ 80-85...the 2013 is the same as 2011, why wouldn't it get the same???

I never had a 2011 Turbo, but the 2013 Ltd Turbo gets 34-35 on the highway (long trip) at 70-75 MPH-- how ever my city numbers are only 18-20 MPG.

2011 SE Turbo - highway mileage is around 35 at 70 mph. My normal mix is around 35% highway and 65% city and I average around 27-29 (depending on driving habits). The mileage seems very sensitive to driving habits and city driving.
