HI! CAN ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA? I just received my 2011 hyundai tucson 4wd with 2.0 gasoline engine, can you give me the details of the exact fuel consumption of this car? im travelling everyday in a highway for 125km at 100km/hr! My car has already 1900km. Upon my exact computation base on my actual refilling, I noticed the consumption is 12liters per 100km. Is it too much?

just bought a 2006 Tucson 2.7 GL with 94000 kms and was reading all the reports scaring me into thinking
"high fuel consumption on this thing" so today we took a small road trip to the city with 148 miles round trip
with temps around -10 Celsius here in southern Manitoba after a night of snowfall of apprx 6". Mind you, the snow had stopped falling by the time we left and the highways were mostly clear from previous traffic with some snow covered sections. I thought this would be a true test of mpg on ugly conditions. we had a total of 120 miles of highway with the balance being city driving. I filled it up before we left and filled it up when we got back. I had averaged 26 miles per gallon or 9.3 liters per 100 Kms. I was pleasantly surprised!

I got the 2.0 gas motor FWD on the 5 spd transmission. On the highway going around 80km/h I get between 6.9L/ 100km -7.5L/10km. If I'm a major highway going 120km/h I get around 9.0L/100 km. I've noticed that fuel economy drop drastically once you get over 85km/h.

I've had my 2011 Tucson GLS for 2 months and I have put 4000 km on it.
It is a 2wd model with the 2.0L engine and 6 speed automatic. Driving mostly mountain highways and 10% city. I try to ensure the 'ECO' monitor is on as much as possible.
I have kept track of every fill up with a Blackberry app.
Over 4000 km I have averaged 7.75 L / 100km. That is 30.4 miles per US gallon or 36.45 miles per imperial gallon.
My best mileage was 7.05 L / 100 km and my worst was 8.48 L / 100 km. ( 40 miles / imp gallon and 33.3 miles / imp gallon)

Of course different configuration of pollution control devices for different areas and countries will probably have an impact.

However, I have noticed a wide variation in mileage from seemingly similar conditions and I don't know what would make it so much different.

All in all I'm very pleased with the mileage on my unit.
