The door lock motor on my left rear door will lock but not unlock all the way. I have to move the lock button by the inside handle to unlock it. It's on my "to fix" list but it's only a minor annoyance.

Well, today when I went out to try your suggestion, suddenly it works again from my key fob...
I dont know why it didnt work yesterday, but it is a good point I forgot about the button inside handle to unlock, to try it...

Will try next time it happens, thanks guys!

I forgot to update this thread: Yes it turns out the motor is just not able to switch it anymore - when I shift to D, it clicks like three times trying to lock, before it stops..
I guess I need to replace the lock.
Any idea where to find the part for cheap (ships to Canada)?

What you need is the solenoid for the lock mechanism. Junk yard. Many years will cross.
