hi friends,
i had to remove the intercooler, all attachment hoses, egr, cooler pipe, inlet manifold.
it was all filled with soot. cleaned out all parts. i have already installed the inlet manifold, egr and cooler pipe.
i haveonly hand tightened the 10 bolts.
what is the torque settings? what torque setting do i start and end with and off course the tightening sequence.
im guessing the tightening sequence is the pattern below.
i want to begin in the morning and finish before monday so i can go back to work.

8 1 4 6
10 9
5 3 2 7
10 as being the very first bolt(actually a nut)
9 as being the very last nut, closest to the firewall
1-8 are all bolts

gotta admit. strong community here. i like this town. has many high walls surrounding it. where was the main entrance again. im an idiot. im on the wrong side. hang on! could this be the wailing wall!
6hrs later.....
enough with that praying to brick and mortar. i must find the iron door into forumland.

All bolts and nuts are 14.7 - 19.6Nm , 8 bolts, 2 nuts. I don't see a sequence mentioned but I guess you could start from the centre out like a head

Hey Gerard,
i only just saw your reply. i already went ahead and installed it.
i took a guess. yep i began in the middle and worked my way out to the tails, just like head work.
what do u reckon? i did a set of 15 NM and second set at 25 NM.
could too much pressure cause an issue down the track?

can't comment on the over torque. probably get away with it otherwise back them off a little and re torque
