I have a 2005 sonata 3.3 auto,i got a bunch of codes for gas pedal and so I started with a pedal and then tps and then pcm and still no luck and when I start it ,it goes up to 3500 rpm and then back down with rough idle,is there something else I should be looking for like wiring problems or something else. thanks:|

I assume you have a proper scan tool that allows you to view the output from the engine sensors? Have you checked the pedal & tps sensor outputs?

There are usually two pedal sensors and two tps sensors on an electric throttle system. I don't know what the voltages should be on your engine off the top of my head but I'd initially just check that they all change as you slowly press on the throttle pedal (with the ignition on/engine off).

Wrong subforum. 3.3 isn't EF Sonata. EF has no electronic throttle.

really ? Should we start guessing ?

USA 2005 Sonata dont come with 3.3L.....

All we have is 2.4L and 2.7L.. both being cable operated throttle

Location,,, USA 2005 Sonata dont offer 3.3L,, only 2.4 & 2.7

Pic of engine & car ??

You state "bunch of codes for gas pedal"........

What are these codes in their proper "Pxxxx" format..

Hyundai codes as written by Hyundai are confusing,, regular Joe will not get it right

Do you have the codes yet ??

Have you checked that the sensors are getting a proper 5V reference?
Many sensors have 3 wires: ground, reference/power, and output.
Time to do some probing with a DVM

A short or wiring fault on a reference can cut power to several sensors.
