Discussion Starter #1
Had intermittent start issues. Started it with a jump and pulled in garage to change the CPS and after seeing lines shredded and shorted together Went ahead and replaced it. I did not Disconnect the battery. Aftermarket part as I couldn’t locate a genuine part in time. After assembly car cranks but no start. Awaiting an OEM CPS to be delivered. The part replaced was above the starter.
Current codes are: P1505 P1507 P0445
Any advice Is appreciated. I am in Fairfax VA

cheers

Have you checked that there is power being supplied to the crank sensor?
I would think that if the wiring was shredded and shorted together there's a good chance the power supply fuse would be blown.

If I helped you fix it, why not...

Your support is greatly appreciated

Can we assume the pigtail of the crank position sensor was shredded and shorted?
So replacing the sensor should have fixed the wiring issue??
Check pins for fitment or being bent
Check all fuses
Also, it would be a good idea to take off one of the battery's cable terminals before changing parts
