My 2004 Elantra has been running fine. Recently I started the engine and attempted to shift into reverse-----and it wouldn't shift. Since the CEL came on, I checked for trouble codes and found a P0705. Is this something fixable.....or am I going to need a new transmission. Please, tell me it isn't so......

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

A little searching for your code yielded: P0705, Transmission range switch out of adjustment. I'm not sure what the repair entails but it doesn't sound like the transmission needs to be replaced.

Thanks for your reply, Wymi! It's good to hear that it looks like I'm facing a "repair"......instead of a "replacement".
