Hi

I am facing an jerk in my 2000 hyundai sonata GLS V6 and i chkd at auto zone and i received 1 bad code on it as P1529 and it says speed sensor needs to replace.

Query 1 . Which is the best place to get it repaired other than hyundai dealer as they charging a lot. Is it fine I get it done from local mechanic.
Query 2 . Does it affects the transmission and cam shft if i drive for 4 more days and get it fixed on week-end.
Query 3. how much this repair should cost ideally including labor.

Awaiting for reply at earliest.

P-1529 is a request from transmission controller to the engine controller to illuminte the MIL so you know that there is a malfunction somewhere..

You need a transmission code to be able to proceed with your diagnosis.

Right now you do not know what the cause for the 1629 request, you need to have the Trans controllor scanned to find the cause of the 1529 request.

Cost of repair, unknown currently, no code to support the 1529, there is a bunch of A/T codes available.. coule be inexpensive repair, or big bucks.

Go get the trans code(s), report back with the rest of the needed information.
