I know that the owner's manual for the 2013 Santa Fe Sport 2.0 turbo shows the motor oil capacity as 4.86 quarts, but do most people just go ahead and put in 5 quarts? Surely, an extra .14 quart wouldn't be enough of an "overfill" to make any difference, would it?

I don't have my book in front of me but I assume that 4.86 would be a completely empty/dry system. Once filled it is never going to be that again so adding 5 is probably more like filling to 5.2 or more.

I was actually surprised that my Hyundai dealer actually left a little bit of oil in the fifth quart when I had my Santa Fe serviced. I brought 5 qts. of my own oil to use. I doubt that putting that little bit extra in would cause any harm... but it did show me that the dealership is very professional ...and the dipstick was exactly at the "full" mark!
