When I got my AT 2.4L 1990 Sonata the speedometer was not working. I asked the mechanic at the dealer to check it and he said that the sensor was missing. I asked another mechanic for a second opinion and he told me that the speedometer cable was missing. He showed me the part where the cable should be connected.

Does anyone know if the 1990 Sonata uses a sensor or cable for its speedometer?

If it uses a cable, are there alternatives aside from the original cable e.g. speedometer cable of mitsubishi galant or some other car?

Thanks for your prompt replies guys.
