I have a 2014 Limited with the 17" rims which I am wanting to install a set of 16" rims from a 2017 Elantra. Both bolt patterns are the same at 5X114.3. I am wanting to downsize because I am really getting sick of the harsh ride of the 17's. And the Elantra is no hot-rod, especially with the beam rear.
I know i'd have to swap the TMPS sensors to the new rims (not steel, but alloy) and I am up for that, but just want to make sure a 2017 rim would fit a 2014 car. Thanx in advance

The 2017 wheels fit the 2014 car. Direct fit. The TPMS sensors are different so you need to keep your 2014 sensors.
You can also go down to 15" wheels if you find any from one of the base SE models from around 2015 that had 15" alloys.

Tire size for 16" wheels would be 205-55-16. For taller sidewalls and a small increase in ride height, 205-60-16s also fit the MD chassis.
