Thinking of selling as I just found a great deal on a convertible. I know I'll take a bath but I do have a somewhat hard to find car.

It's an '11 Pearl while limited with cashmere interior and NAV. Only modification is tinted windows. It has 1450 miles.

If anyone is interested, let me know, I'm in the upstate of South Carolina.

You may make out pretty well since Sonata's are in short suppy now. Ask a decent price, but less than a dealer would ask. I'd shoot for $24,000 and go from there.

good luck with the sale!

I didn't put a price as I was just testing the waters. I don't think there is any way i could go 21k but 24-25k is doable. I do know some people have had a hard time finding Limited w/ Nav, especially in the Northeast.

That is going to be tough on you. You will take a bath on the vehicle. Since this is not Dealer miles, the car is used which means all of the instant depreciation applies. That alone is a couple grand. The car is most likely 2 months or less old. Any potential buyer would be scare ****less about taking it over. The next thing is how much of the warranty is transferable. If it is not, then there is a couple grand required for secondary warranty.

The way I understood on warranty is that the 10 yr/100K drive train applies only to original buyer, and is not transferable. 2nd buyer is only warranted 5 yr/50K by Hyundai. Correct me if I am wrong, but I read it, I think, in the Owners Manual. I am not sure about the other warranties.

Warranty is transferable and yes, I know about the money loss on this, I've only had the car for 3 weeks but just don't think its for me.

Indeed. The 10yr/100K powertrain warranty only applies to ORIGINAL OWNER (clearly stated on the warranty manual). The regular 5yr/60K warranty is fully transferrable, just like any other car.

The other reason OP will probably take a bath is the car is too new to know how it's going to hold up depreciation-wise. This kind of mood changes are very costly. I'd just keep the car, learn your lesson to shop better next time, but it's your money. I'd try eBay, since it's free unless you sell the car, but I'd say no way you're getting $24K, but you can try. I'd make a deal with myself and if you don't get certain amount, you just keep it. Good luck.

You are gonna get absolutely raped on selling it. EVERY potential customer is going to think thre's something major wrong with it, and that's why you are selling. Used, expect to lose a few grand right there. No 'Best Warranty in America' because the 100k is not transferable, expect to lose a few grand. No low 2.9% financing to get a Used car loan, expect to lose a few grand there. You will be lucky to sell at $5k less than what you bought for, IMO.

Slightly used cars used to be a good deal. Nowadays, with non-transferable warrties and low intrest rates when financing New, they are often a worse deal than buying new. And everyone knows it. Do you hate the car so much to lose a few thousand over it in 3 weeks?

Now is the time for you to repent in leisure. In the 2010 car of the year!

That said, i'll offer you $18k.

I've bought and sold a lot of cars, I know how the game works and what I'm in for. I already have an offer at 21.5k and I'm seriously considering it, I just thought I'd throw this feeler out there.

I's a nice enough car, I just don't know if it's for me, also, it is a great deal on the car I would replace it with so that helps cushion the hit I'm taking.

Have you tried Carmax in Greenville? They have been good to me and offered me 22,000 for 2010 Ram and I only paid 23,000 after my employee discount.
