My daily is a 2005 1.6 hyndai accent with a manual transmission.

I have come across a 2009 1.6 hyndai accent with an automatic transmission that is being parted out.

Would it be possible to use the 09 automatic transmission in my 05?

Normally I'd prefer manual but I'm in delivery and that is the one situation I want an automatic if I could pull it off.

I done a fair number of tranny swaps in other cars, haven't done a hyndai yet and was hoping someone here might have some experience with this.

I'm not sure which section this belonged in so I posted it in both.

I'm no expert but I don't think that this will work. It's not just the transmission, I think the computer and lots of sensors are different. Different sensors and things mean the wiring harness is probably different. If you could get all of that and really know what you are doing or know someone who does, then it might be possible, but at what cost in terms of time and money?
Just thought of another one.... the 05 should be the old body style and an 09 is a newer different style. Mounts may be different, the engine and bellhousing may be different so the new trans may not bolt right up to your engine.
I see many, many red flags here.
