ALL our 2.4 Santa Fe & Sonata have a balance shaft.... Find out why the took it out... shaft journals will likely have pressured oil to them, what they do about the open oil holes ?
New 1 by me.. here on dealer level I have not heard of such thing.. I can tell you that 4 cylinder can get shakey at low idle speeds due to all the weight moving slowly (pulses) until speed get higer where pulses are closer together to cancel out..
I would do a lot of research on the topic, and then consider return for money back, as engine has been internaly altered from factory spec... that 2.4 with shafts is fairly smooth acroos the rpm range as long as shafts are corret in time.
