will a 2001 hyundai elantra manual transmission fit in a 2000 hyundai elantra? and how much gear oil goes in the transmission?

My price guide shows different part number for the trans for 2000 & 2001,,, case should physically bolt to engine, likely a gear ratio different between body styles..

Oil, I think a little over 2qt, use the Hyundi oil, as it is rated GL4, wrong oil will eat the synchronizers..

Correct part # is 08950 - 00020

Easiest way to fill is to unscrew the reverse light switch, stick long funnel in hole, and remove the OE fill plug,,, pour in oil till it come out the fill plug hole.

The problem is the wiring harness won't match up. The electronics are different.

Manual trans is manually shifted by the driver... :banana:
