I've searched the internet high and low for some help in replacing the liftgate finish panel. Someone tried to open it with brute strength when the car was still locked and it ripped off (about 65% of it). The liftgate latch handle is also broken. So, the lift gate will not stay open once it reaches max height. We dont manually close it, had bad experiences with previous auto open/shut vehicles. I have read that it is possibly the hydraulic arms, which takes the weight off of the gears. Can anyone confirm this? And if so, the power of it...
