front axle

Hello - I am trying to replace my front right (drivers in UK) driveshaft but have hit a problem. I can't split it from the half shaft bearing mount. As far as i can see this should just pop out as there is a circlip on the spline holding it. It just won't budge. Ive attach a picture of the whole...
