Hi all! I’ve had my little i10 for almost a year now, brought it second hand with 7k miles on the clock (2013 reg), and for the most part I love it. However since owning the car I’ve notice that there doesn’t seem to be any evident biting point on the clutch? I drive it often and it stalls a lot...

Replaced the clutch on a 2005 went smoothly. Shifted exactly twice then the pedal went to the floor. Pulled it back out. And found the retaining clip has come apart allowing the throw out bearing to come out of the pressure plate. WTH? Poor quality parts?
  3. XD (2001-2006) Elantra
Hey guys, I'm new here as I just bought an 02 Elantra MT with ~115,000 miles about a week ago. Everything was great with the car when I bought it aside from the transmission slipping a little after changing gears. I assumed I would just have to replace the clutch, and it's reasonable to need a...

Hi all, finally got around to posting the how-to on my clutch/slave cylinder replacement I did recently. Filmed it so that you all can do it too if you want to save some dough. Overall was not that bad of a job, didn’t even have to drop the whole transmission! Here’s the link to the edit. Enjoy!

Hi, I've recently changed the clutch in my hyundai i10 1.2 2014, everything went to plan bar my speedometer now failing to function properly. The vss when its original position seems to show a bit of a step where it looks like it could fit into the box so I decided to take the bolt holding it in...

Hello all I've got a 2005 Hyundai Getz 1.6i Manual I've had issues with my clutch slipping and shuddering for a while now, I've had the clutch replaced with release bearing and pressure plate all new. That didn't immediately solve my problem so I took the car back then turned out I had damaged...
  7. FORUM RULES
Hi all - first post under duress :) Had a friend who is also a very competent mechanic help change the clutch on my i20. Got the clutch parts (disc, cover assembly, transmission oil) from a Hyundai dealer. I thought all went ok, except that it was pissing down all of the Saturday. Started the...
  8. i30 & Elantra Touring Forum
Hello all. I have a 2013 i30 and it’s only done 60k miles but it’s a bugger to get in reverse (makes a ‘grunt’ noise when you put it in with the clutch down) and it’s sometimes difficult to get in first or second. Could it be on it’s way out?
