A little over a week ago my smart key started acting weird. You had to push the lock button and/ or the unlock button and the Trunk button multiple times to get them to work. Now, they vey seldom work and I have to use a key to to unlock the door, and have to open the door to release the trunk button on the floor to open the trunk. The push button start worked for a while, now I have to push it with the smart key to get it started. Also, when stopped at a light, the "key Out" light flashes on the dash, but the key is in my pocket, or in the console. Replaced the battery and made no difference. I had to go to the dealer to get the Pin Number for the key, bought a new smart key on Amazon, and took it to a locksmith to have programmed. The pin 3 # they gave me was for the regular key that unlocks the door. he still tried to program the new smart key, but had no luck.

Anyone had anything similar to this happen to them ?? Could it be something electrical. I did see several fuses in the manual related to the smart key, could it be one of those ? I have not checked each fuse listed yet. I just find it strange it works some times ( except you have to press the smart key on the push button to start the car now every time.
Thanks !!
