  1. Poor washer pump output

    i10 2nd. generation 2014-
In the U.S., we have had some cheaper brands of washer fluid that will do exactly that. One in particular was the blue colored Walmart brand. Or, rather, it used to be. May have improved since then. That cheap generic stuff get gummy, clogs the screen, thereby presenting you with your problem...
  2. Scratches on Dual Zone Display Panel

    AD 2017+ Elantra
Best luck I had polishing out a scratch was Brasso (Walmart cleaning supplies shelf). While it works absolute wonders on military brass buckles, insignia, etc., it takes a bit of mild back and forth rubbing to bring that scratch back under control. But it will. I learned this trick years ago...
  3. Who's tried the new Hybrid car wax polishers

    AD 2017+ Elantra
Been using the Shine Armor recently. It was a “What the heck, why not give it a go?” purchase. For ease in applying, it’s great. Spray on, wipe, flip cloth, wipe again. I must admit there is something to be said for polishing your entire car in 15-20 minutes. And the shine is quite incredible...

ROF How do you tighten one of those? I thought I had nearly every specialty tool in the cabinet. Evidently not for this procedure.

Can't be sure because I wasn't there, but I'd be inclined to look in the direction of the vehicle's operator for starters.

 +1 I can hear it now: "I can't believe my 1/2" socket rounded the corners off the head of that 13mm bolt. Should never have bought these stupid wrenches. POS that they are."

Let me see if I understand this correctly. It was your suspension's fault that your car got totaled? I'll try to figure this one out. EDIT: I figured it out.

There are a lot of satisfied Elantra owners on this forum that would gladly debate that comment. Count me as one of them.

Only after 18 months? So, when the rods decide to launch out of the side of the block, that'll be due to poor quality products and Hyundai's lack of attentiveness to engineering quality engines?

For you guy's sakes, I hope it doesn't happen. Wouldn't wish that on my worst neighbor!
  13. Good deed of the day (Save on Infinity speakers)

I'm getting too lazy in my senior years. Have a Craftsman 3-tier chest way over my head full of every tool known to man. Gonna leave 'em all to the boys. Just don't have the interest. Oil changes, hand waxes, buffing, filters...stuff like that? No problem. Tearing off door panels and changing...

Hate to sound like an attorney, but who owns the curb you park against? The courts are so full of frivolous law suits, what's one more gonna hurt?
  15. Winter Driving Experience

We haven't been inundated with snow, here, like those in the upper Northern regions. What we did get was about 5-6". Car managed well. Of course, you must adjust your style of driving under those conditions regardless of car owned or driver skill levels.

Works on the "plastic" composition of the bumper? Good to know.

+1 FYI: Also the sequence on the Limited's. Good stuff for the new members/owner's to know...those that haven't had the opportunity to read their Owner's Manual, LOL.
  18. Softball sized hail and $7000+ damage

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
You ain't the only one. Hail potential terrifies us in Oklahoma. Most bad storms occur in the evenings, so we usually go groveling at the feet of the doctors to let us hide our cars in their 5-level garage. Just the word "HAIL" runs chills thru my spine!

    Maybe they are called "bumper-ettes?"
  20. What happened in or around your Elantra today?

Nice adoption, mom. Just make sure Duke understands that you're the "Alpha-dog." LOL
