  1. New Hyundai Elantra Sport Turbo Forum!

    AD 2017+ Elantra
A combo I would have liked to have seen would be the 245HP turbo 2.0L in a new Elantra Coupe. Sure, there's the Veloster N, but that's too tiny. In any event, I wouldn't have been able to get either for what I paid for my EB.
  2. New N model....

    PD (2018+) Elantra GT
So they are coming out with a N trim GT, but no additional power? That sucks, when is Hyundai going to get it, they need something that has performance. That's why I got tired of my 1.8L Elantra.
  3. Doors and hatch...

    Kona forum
lol, looks like the same cheap, crappy speakers that all the OEMs use!
  4. The elusive Hyundai Elantra spare tire

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
Oh man, I just sold my OEM spare tire kit for my Coupe last month for $40. Not sure why you would want a full size rather than the standard temp spare since you probably don't want to be driving on it for long.
  5. GM just doesn't learn do they?

    Other Cars
Meh, everyone is putting the focus on SUVs and CUVs (and, of course, the ever-popular trucks). Just going where the profits are. I'm sorry to see it because I never bought a truck or SUV and never will. At least Mustang is here forever, it's Ford's halo car, same as the Vette for GM, they'll...
  6. Humor - watch as this lady trys to fill her car with gas at the gas station

    Other Cars
Pretty silly, how would someone not know that this is an electric car?
  7. While strolling through the local Hyundai lot....

    General Hyundai Non-Model Specific Discussion
Pulse brake system is probably just the pulsing 3rd (high mount) brake light, and yes, $1200 is a real rip-off!!
  8. 2019 Facelift

    AD 2017+ Elantra
    Nice video of it:
  9. My Headlights Are Peeling

    AD 2017+ Elantra
Modern lexan/plastic headlamp assemblies have a clear UV protection coating on the lens. With proper care it should last 3-5 years. A car that's a year old or so shouldn't have this failure - it's probably just a batch defect. Folks in areas with milder summers probably won't see early failures...
  10. Ford going out of the car business?

    Other Cars
Well, I can see why Ford wants to go with SUVs and trucks - that's what sells these days. Glad they kept the Mustang though, I just got one recently. I liked my Elantra Coupe but just wanted something that has the bang to go with the looks. I've never bought a truck or SUV and I don't plan on...
  11. Happy yet Sad....

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
Well, wound up trading the '13 Coupe in on an '18 Mustang Ecoboost Fastback in Lightning Blue. The Mustang is awesome, tons of power and a great handling suspension (IRS finally!!!!). Even though it's night and day compared to the Coupe, I'm going to miss my Sky Blue Metallic Coupe because it is...
  12. New Years Resolution

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
Down here I'd drive it year-round, just like the Coupe. Just use good all-season tires and it's good to go. It's crazy that the Ecoboost engine puts out more HP and torque than the 4.6L V8 ;) Still, it doesn't have the low growl of a V8, but it does sound nice, way better than my little 1.8L 4...
  13. New Years Resolution

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
Well, went for a test drive today. They had an Ecoboost Fastback set up exactly the way I want it but in a different color. My daughter has a friend who works at the dealership and let me take it out for a bit, wow, huge difference from my Coupe! Looks like he'll be able to swing one for a...
  14. New Years Resolution

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
lol, that's one of the nice things I like about being down here, mild winters! Plus not having to deal with 2 sets of wheels/tires ;) As for keeping the Coupe, I'm retired and am the only driver, so I don't really need to keep two cars - I don't put that much mileage on one car, so it would be...
  15. New Years Resolution

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
Well, I had a fun time with my Coupe but I'm going to upgrade to a 2018 Mustang Ecoboost. For the longest time I was completely devoted to manual transmissions which is why I got the Coupe with one. But that Ecoboost 4 with a 10 spd auto, well that's too much to pass up. Plus double the HP and...
  16. Rear Brakes...AGAIN

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
Right Rear Brake Issues??? Wow, I just ran across this post (hadn't been on the forum for a while). I just got through doing a pad and rotor job on all four wheels after my advisor during my last 'Maintenance For Life' appointment said the rear pads needed replacement. I politely declined...
  17. Test drove a 2017 Elantra Sport today

    AD 2017+ Elantra
Wow, wish they had that turbo motor a few years ago, or better yet that they had added a turbo and GDI to the 1.8L. That would have been a nice combo in my Coupe :) (or in any of the sedans, actually!) Sadly, Hyundai tends to err on the conservative side. Sadly, no more coupes (heck, not even a...
  18. Selectable Steering Mode: Anyone Else Beside Hyundai?

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
Probably won't find this in consumer-grade cars. Steering sensitivity adjustment when present is normally tied into speed of the car or a vehicle performance mode. Probably only race-ready vehicles would have steering fine-tuning. Not something you're going to find in low end ecoboxes.
  19. Stance Elantras?

    MD ( 2011-2016) Elantra sedan/coupe
This one is slammed and stanced nicely though:
  20. Stance Elantras?

You're going to have to do it like this: Hyundai_Elantra_HellaFlush_by_ManyDesign.jpg Photo by devildog850 | Photobucket Or maybe this is the look you're going for?
