It may not be enough fluid line pressure to engage the next gear quick enough, hence the slippage at full throttle. This is quite common on most automatics as most people want smooth shifts.

If they're discs they should be the same. Only difference in the rear disc setup of the Kia to the Accent is the Kia uses the banjo bolt at the top while the Accent is on the bottom of the caliper. Other than that they're identical and interchangeable. Good luck. 👍

If you'd have supported the engine so it doesn't drop it would've inserted right in. 😂😉 Seriously. I've done my lower mount 2 times and both times supported the engine with a 2x4 and never had an issue with installation. Good to see you got it in though. 👍😎

The steering is assisted by an electrical motor to effectively give you power steering. By the sounds of your problem it's almost as if you're losing a ground somewhere which would make the steering gofirm with the power loss. Here is a link that may explain a bit more about the system...
