  1. Service Campaign 953

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
I wonder how the lifetime warranty on the engine will work, will it cover all engine parts or just the one that could/will go wrong? Will be good to see the final papers...
  2. Rotors and brake pads brands experience/suggestion

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
One more: cryo treated or regular rotors?
  3. 2017 Sonata (Sport)

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
I'm at 59,400 miles on original rotors and pads with 2/3 of those miles on highways with no hard braking or constant on and off. Planning to change my rotors and pads but not because they are bad or worn out. In your case it depends on the previous owner and how he or she drove your car. You can...
  4. Rotors and brake pads brands experience/suggestion

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
True, each person will have its own opinion on how his or her brakes feel either when new or old. Marketing is done to sell so yes they will use words to grab people attention so they will buy that product, I guess no company makes stuff for sale and advertise not to sale it. But I don't think...
  5. Rotors and brake pads brands experience/suggestion

One more question - Redline DOT4 or Motul RBF660 DOT4 ? Or something else that is synthetic??
  6. Rotors and brake pads brands experience/suggestion

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
Maybe "harder" wasn't the best choice by ominousone and better choice might be "more consistent" in certain driving situations. From a site "The slots in the rotor allow an escape route for the built-up gases. This allows more of the brake pad’s surface area to contact the rotor, resulting in...
  7. Front Rotors/Pads 2015 Sonata Limited w/Sport Package and Electronic Parking Brake

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
SInce we are talking about new rotors here's my question for you guys - planning to change to cryo treated slotted by StopTech. Any experience, suggestions with slotted vs slotted and drilled rotors? I don't drive crazy or nuts :(.
  8. Another Great Upgrade for Your Sonata I figured I would Share

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
Does the upper, main, grille uses existing OEM brackets and just "slides" right into them or new mounting has to be done with provided hardware?
  9. Interior leather cleaning - what do you use?

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
I've been using cleaner and conditioner by Zymol on 2015 Sonata and my current 2017 Sonata as well as my girlfriend 2017 Santa Fe Sport, no complaints so far. Also my other 2 cents - check ingredients and make sure they are as natural and ph balance as possible, less or none of "fake good"...
  10. Another Great Upgrade for Your Sonata I figured I would Share

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
Looks goooood. The top grill replaces original grill and bottom one just overlays on top of existing one, how easy to install the lower one and how much if any sticks out if front of surrounding trim?
  11. RPM always dips slightly when coming to a stop

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
I have 2.4L Limited and it does same thing, slight dip at stop. I believe it has to do with being PZEV engine in my Sonata. When I used my BlueDriver module it showed RPMs going down to around 594 to 615 but never felt like it may die, just smooth.
  12. Android Auto

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
It looks like New Android Auto looks better than the old version, loads faster and it put my Note 9 in night mode so Waze ran properly, when cable got unplugged it went back to day/normal mode, very coll :).
  13. Problem with Navigation unit clock settings

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
Happened to me as well, it showed February 2036 and time was behind actual time by 1 and a 1/2 hour. Went to settings and all options except of GPS were greyed out. So I turned GPS time function on, went out of time mode and went back and I was able to turn GPS off and go to regular time setting...
  14. 2019 2.0T Limited. Front Turn signal LED swap question for experts

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
Glad that you like them, always buy what you like :). I have 2017 Limited and have front (Lasfit 1157A) and rear (iJDM 1156A) LED turn signals, no resistors, no hyperblink. Will change iJDM to Lasfit since they have a bit different shades of orange colors. Also Lasfit is brighter. Both companies...
  15. AEB fail - some damage

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
That sucks just glad the other driver decided not to do anything. This is from my 2017 Sonata manual Prerequisite for activation The AEB gets ready to be activated, when the AEB is selected on the LCD display, and when the following prerequisites are satisfied. The ESC is activated. To enable...
  16. 60K Miles Service

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
I'm only 4K miles away from 60K service. Planning to go to my local dealer since I've been happy with their service so far. Looking for your opinion/recommendation/good or bad experience about and/or use with items to follow that I'm planning to have my dealer use: - coolant - Amsoil (also may...

Question: have anyone used or compared WIX XP and Purolator Boss or One filters? If yes what's good and bad about each? Thanks in advance :)

  19. 2015 SONATA 2.4L & 2.0T ECU & CLUSTER SOFTWARE UPDATE (Service Campaign 953)

    LF (2015+) Sonata/i45
Well, had my software update done 8 days ago. Made a round trip to Los Angeles, about 646 miles, and so far all good, knock on some good wood, no pun intended lol. Got the letter from Hyundai about warranty to 120K miles. If there is anything wrong I won't mind to know before warranty ends but...
