I suspect the clicking you can hear is the blower motor relay switching off which will stop the air flow. I think that relay also supplies power to the AC control panel so that's maybe why the AC is switching off too. It's difficult to diagnose the fault when it's only happening intermittently but if it's happening regularly you could try a bypass test on the blower relay to see if that cures the problem. It's not a fix but it will at least confirm where in the system the fault lies.

eire154 Pretty sure the compressor is turning off and on. There is no air flow when the light goes out for extended time. The quick back and forth that it does most of the time you can't feel any affect.

CyprusCorner I wonder if it's a wiring/relay issue. Check wires/relays leading from the compressor to the cabin. Can you confirm whether or not the actual compressor is turning on and off when the light is? or do they only sometimes both turn off at the same time?

A/C switches off and on

For years (~5) now my 2006 Tucson has had problems with the A/C. It will switch on and off all the time. We have taken it to shops several times. The shops always say they don't see it and it doesn't come up as a code when they check. I have attached a link to a video so you can see what the A/C does. I would love to fix this as it makes a clicking noise and sometimes completely turns off the A/C.

BTW the forum won't let me post links so just complete the link for the following...
