Are LED headlights plug n' play?

I'm looking at a '19 Sport model. I do a lot of driving late on country roads and the stock lights on my '11 GLS are lacking. The ratings on the '19 Sport headlights are no better. I'm curious if I bought a set of OEM LED headlights off of a Sonata that came with them, would they simply plug up to a non-LED harness, or would some splicing be involved.

You’d be spending a lot of money getting those headlights.
Even pair of OEM HID assemblies to fit my ‘15 Sport (yeah, shame on me) would run about $1800, easy. Ain’t no headlight upgrade in the world worth that much. Can’t imagine how much an OEM LED pair would run.
I could do an HID retrofit like I have done with my Hondas, but don’t care to nor have the time. You may be better off looking into high quality LED or HID kits and call it a day... or a Sonata Limited or Sport 2.0t lol

My 2019 Sport 2.4 w/ factory halogens. Even fit it all inside the housings with the dust cap. Will be a tight fit if you have big hands but it can be done. Be sure to aim them properly. I agree with the previous post stating that the factory’s are not nearly worth that much money, as a quality aftermarket LED will do the job as good if not better.

Check out bulbfacts.com for the most comprehensive ratings on current offerings.

I also have Lasfits in my car, and they were 100% plug and play. Just make sure the polarity is right before you need to use your lights. I managed to plug both of mine in wrong . Just had to plug them in the other way.

Did you use your dust caps to enclose the LasFit LEDs. I didn't because the fans are supposed to suck the heat out away from the bulb. I thought that if I enclose them they will heat up so bad that they will heat up and stop working or maybe melt something. But now when it rains I have moisture in the assembly.

Are you getting moisture in the headlight with those holes?

I put the dust caps back on and haven’t had a problem. No holes, no mods.
