I took the unit to the Car Audio shop. They had no problem install the unit. The only bad thing they did was the didn't check out the unit after installation. This of course was last Friday eve. When I got home I checked the unit and found that I could not get satellite reception. Since it was to late I called Charles at Compass-Nav. He said when the Audio shop installed the unit they might have pinched the GPS cable or the GPS cable was faulty. Charles did not wait to find out what the problem was, he immediately mailed me a new GPS cable. The following week I went back to the Audio shop with the new cable in hand. It turned out the cable was indeed bad. They took 20 minutes and replaced the cable. I am now a happy camper. The Compass-Nav system is great. It does more that I thought it would do. Now about Charles at Compass-Nav He has been in the loop from day one. He did everything in his power to make this right. And he has. He is one super guy along with his company. I would give him the highest rating possible. Charles was not happy when I wasn't happy. The only thing I would have done different is, I would have gotten the parking Assist.
You can always add parking assist on at a later date. It is very easy to install after the fact. There is a cable that runs from your obd2 port to the CN unit. 20 minutes to install. I am sure that Charles would be happy to help you with any future add ons that you wish. I got the live traffic and it works really great.

I'd like to know more about this group buy. Could the OP or Charles PM me some info/pricing. I am curious if there would be enough interest yet for another round?

I've PM'd both the OP and Charles. No responses either way. And nothing here.
I take it these units are no longer appealing or even for sale?

I installed Compass Nav in my 14 Elantra GT several years ago. It has worked fine until recently. Starting getting error message " Application timeset.exe encountered a serious error and must shut down". Then, the screen would go dark. Now, it's just a dark screen always. I contacted Compass-Nav via email (from their website) and have called twice. No response Does anyone know who I can contact for support, repair, or replacement parts?
Thanks,
Brent
