Can not open liftgate

Just had the liftgate window because it shattered in my garage in FL.
The glass was replaced. Now I can not open the liftgate becaude a piece of glass is jamed in the lock.
Any ideas on how to open the liftgate.
I have a 2009 santa fe old body style.

As with other vehicle when this happens.
You'd have to go into the back of the vehicle and removed the access panel to effect whatever repair are needed.

I removed the inside trim panel from the liftgate. I also disconnected the 2 medal rods from the other parts so that I could try to open the lock with no luck. There is no way that the striker can be cut because there is no room. There is a silver lever and a black lever and they both will not open the lock. This is a non-power liftgate.
I have no idea what to do.

This system is not letting me grag attachments here.

I assume you have the ALL doors unlocked previously pushed.

Otherwise something is blocking the mechanism. Someone on the outside should have been able to open with the handle once the glass you say in there was cleared out of interferance areas.

Go at it again with a good light so you can see.

YES, all the doors are unlocked. There is no way to see inside the door to see where the blockage is. I even tried to disconnect the wire going to the lock, but can not get my hand in there to pull it off ( I think the wire is for the electronic lock)
All connecting rods are disconnected. See pictures.
This is very frustrating.

That metal rod that goes to the (lock actuator) bluish plastic connection is suppose to pull on the rod to release the lock
Does pulling the rod toward the passenger side do anything? Does it move?
Did you try jiggling the rod until it opens the lock?
Can you shoot air from a compressor into the lock to see if it can loosen the glass that is stuck in the lock?
Try spraying some WD-40 and working that metal rod until it frees the latch

You have access and its all mechanical system. If you can't have the open door lever pull the actuator via the rods something is in the way or ... whatever.

Body shops are fixing these all the time. Cal one or two and ask them if they can have a look at it and open the door for you. Mention its all open up already. I can't cost that much and you're done. Be sure its working 100% before you close it up. Have them put the rods back in if you're not sure and test it their.

you might just need to aggressively shake the door, to move the glass around.

I ended up going to a local body shop and they were able to open the liftgate. They cleaned out the the glass that was jammed in the lock.
The lock had to be replaced anyway because the body shop person could not reset the release mechanism.
I gave the body shop person that worked on opening the liftgate $20 bucks for his time.
I had ordered a brand new lock and installed it and everything is working just fine now.
Thank you for all your help.
