Stupid Getz question

My 18 year old son just bought a 2010 Getz for getting around. Great little car and low kms but it's got a couple of issues.

One is the speakers cut in and out. It's not the unit as we replaced it and it's still doing it.

The other is the alarm sometimes goes off randomly.

So one of the suggestions is to check that the ground wire is not loose. But my stupid question is, where is the ground wire connected and how do I check it?

With the stereo, I know it's the black wire but I don't know where it goes to be grounded.

I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. My husband is away and I thought I could do a bit of trouble shooting on my own.

Sorry...can this be deleted? I just realised there is a Getz forum.
