Radio volume speed sensitive...

I would like my radio to get somewhat louder at highway speeds. I think it's supposed to do that already, but I'd like it to be more aggressive. I've looked through menu settings and the owners manual, but don't find anything about that. I could turn it up manually, which is what I do, but isn't there any fine tuning of this feature?

It may be model/trim specific, but we don't know what you have...

I have that option in the settings on my 2017 SE. It can only be enabled/disabled though; it's not adjustable.

Thanks. I thought I had looked in all the right menus, but it wouldn't be the first time I missed something LOL!

FWIW on my Gen Coupe the volume would rise at 5 mph increments.

I think I’m probably as deaf as a stump. I had that option selected in all 3 of my Elantra’s, but never could sense any increase in volume at highway speeds. It could just be me. Or the citizens of South Korea have really keen hearing.

Do you have to turn the radio up when you increase speed to hear it as well?

You shouldn't notice the volume getting louder. What you should notice is that as the car speeds up, you shouldn't have to adjust the volume. Always worked as intended on all my cars over the years.

'17 Elantra Limited Ultra upgrade pkg. I went thru all the options in the menu, nothing about enable/disable or changing amount of the volume increase. Sure, I can change it manually, it would be in keeping with this deluxe package to have the computers to do it LOL!
