CD restarts

Occasionally, when I return to the car, the CD that I was listening to will go back to the beginning instead of continuing from where I left off. A bit annoying if I'm listening to books on CD. Any secrets to get the CD player to stop doing that?

Does it do it with all CDs? Mine does it with one (I only have 2 in the car since they have >300 songs each) because there is pitting in one section. When it gets to that area and I turn the car off when it starts up again it resets.

Do you know any satisfying profanity?!

Try burning the CD to a USB stick then use the USB port and see if it still does it.

I presume that you are leaving the CD in the player, right? That's what I do and mine starts where the last song played.
