I recently installed my Meghan racing downpipe and my ark performance mid pipe for my 2013 2.0t. After installing them there is a lot of exhaust fumes outside of my car. Should i be worried? Also I installed the midpipe myself and had the downpipe professionally done.
Go get a couple factory gaskets and seal up that downpipe. The others can be aftermarket gaskets but a leak at the downpipe can be deadly since it's so close to your fresh air vent.
The exhaust shop had to use 2 factory gaskets and silicone sealer to get mine to seal. I have a full turbo back cx racing exhaust.
Sounds good will do. I don't smell exhaust fumes inside my car while i am driving. Will I be able to make a 4 hour trip home and get it done at a shop home or should I try to get it done locally? (I am at college right now)
Drive with recirc on so it doesn't bring in fresh air and you will be fine. That's a dealership site, go to a local Hyundai/Kia dealer and use the part number to get the right gasket.
Shivamg42 did you keep your stock mufflers?
I like to do same.
How does it sound?
Is it possible to get a sound clip.
Did you get a check engine light?
Hey it sounds almost the same from inside, and a little louder from the outside, no to much difference. I have the stock mufflers, and yeah my check engine light did come on. I would send you a sound clip except the microphone on my phone is broken, so if you give me a couple of days i can PM you a sound clip
