Question License plate lights - fuse blown?

Got pulled over last night because the lights were out that light up the rear plate...

Cop was nice and gave me a fix it ticket with 24 hrs to fix to avoid fine

Both lights are out, which makes me think its a fuse, but I'm not sure which one to check, anyone have an idea which fuse it'd be?

Without looking at schematic I would think they are on the same circuit as tail lights, therefore same fuse. If that was the case though the tail lights would be out also. I looked at mine and don't see a separate fuse for plate lights so I would probably replace both bulbs and see what happens. If that's not the issue then next would be wiring unless someone else knows anything different.

I think they are supposed to be 194's, but 168's should work.

I'm using these with no issue. Tint is around 5000K and much brighter than stock.

Them small bulb always turn silver-black inside and start to burn real hot, or they just flat out go open circuit at filament.. we buy that bulb by the case, we go through so many of them, quick money maker on bulb change labor
