Gear shift light burned out

The D looks darker in person, it's normally blue. Would this be covered under the bumper to bumper warranty?

I would guess that your inhibitor switch is bad. I believe it is covered under the 60k warranty, but could be mistaken. Has it thrown a CEL yet?

No it hasn't. I just noticed it tonight though, if I move the shifter over to the left then the manual gear shifter lights up blue like it should.

I don't have a scanner

The car drives fine and switches from park to drive and reverse to drive with no issues.

Yes, the dash displays correctly. That's why I think the light may just be burned out, but I'd still want to get it replaced under warranty.

Weird, got in my car to drive home and the light was blue again.

Might still see if i can swindle a replacement from the warranty.

So it happened again last night and then came back on today, I've got a couple days of next week so I'm gonna take it into the dealer and get it replaced.

Sitting at dealer getting it looked at now, hopefully an easy quick fix.

Also having them diagnose a burning smell coming from my vents when the heat was on the other night.
