Been open for a week maybe.. Almost every YF through shop this week had "spray"..

Hyundai opened "spray on 3 or more chassis, all 4-9yr old chassis now,,

Stolen from another post ---> but YF Sonata on roll yet again with a "CHEEZIE" undercoat application they opened here a couple day ago, along with 3 or 4 other aged chassis for sprays,, and at the on set of winter,, so people will show up with snow & ice covered chassis for spray and wait on car.. think about it.. Nowhere is it called in instructions that underside has to be clean and dry.. I had a few last winter that sprayed right over top of the snow and ice/water,, about bet 95% of spray fell of on road with the existing mess under car..

Recall 6-9 yr old chassis for rattle can spray...

I doubt that a southern dealer will have the experience to do this to well.

Will have to remember to visit the 'northern' dealer and give them the BS that I'm relocating or drive to ski country often all winter.

I'm pretty sure most of my other brand cars had 'rust' respraying TSB's or recalls. Pretty sad with that so-called "MODERN" technology and manufacturing that they can't prevent the car from rusting rapidly. My '08 Kia had an issue, '03 Mazda, and of course who could forget the Tundra dissolving frame.

For the want of Ziebart, Auto-Armor, and RustyJones..... miss the big three.

Canada still has some competence,

Before -- look at underside as the car sits in driveway..

After -- have black rattle can stuff all over rear subframe, front arms, and front subframe.

New cars still coming free of coatings, wait 4-5yr when they get weathered, then we'll spray them and just make them rust faster... should see some of the stuff coming back a yr or so later with rust ate right through, or coatings fall off.. NF Sonata and 1st gen Azera is bad.. XD Elantra and SM Santa Fe is worse

This " campaign " is being done in Canada.

No letter will be sent.

When you go for any service @ your dealer, they will spray your underbody corrosion preventive service.

They have a different code number.

Call Hyundai head office and they will give you the " campaign code "

Then call any Hyundai dealer with code and book appointment...no charge

Yes..i got this done few weeks back and posted in forum about Fuel Pump malfunction.

Good luck!

Better find out if it was done per instructions.. I'm seeing cars that look like 2 spritz and go jobs.. Hyundai says coat all parts as prescribed in the instructions.. boyz is being handed 0.7hr pay for doing nothing

@neverendingxsin... no drill on YF chassis..... CM Santa Fe get 2 hole bored and cavity sprayed with yellow stuff, then rubber plug put in hole..

I just got my letter today - during a blizzard no less! I'm not sure if I will even bother. First I'll consult with my mechanic to get his input. He has never steered me wrong (pun intended). If he gives the go, I'll wait for spring after a full underside cleaning.

Got my letter today. Looks like a half a$$ attempt to fix something that should have been done when the car was brand new. When I bought my car I did paid extra for some environmental package from the dealer that put an undercoating under the car. Hopefully they did actually do it since all I have is paperwork saying they did it and there is a coating under the car. But not sure what it looked like under there before they did it because I didn't think to look at it until after is was done. I had it done since I live in one of the "Rust belt states". Should I be safe since I got undercoating done when the car was new?

I think I might get it done but going to have to wait until summer and figure out how to get the underside clean and dry since it doesn't sound like the dealer is going to do it.
