Can someone please post a pic of where the map sensor is located on a 2011 hyundai sonata 2.4 GLS. My car's rpms are fluctuating while in park and I have a check engine light on for the map sensor, so I would like to replace it. Weird thing is it occurred as soon as I replaced my transmission range sensor so I assume I messed something up with it. Anyway, it would be greatly appreciated if someone could show me a pic of the map sensor so I can replace it, thank you

Sorry I didn't see this post earlier

Follow the intake tube down in front of the car where it connects to the intake manifold. The first sensor is the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) and the 2nd sensor is the IAT/MAP sensor (Intake Air Temp/ Manifold Absolute Pressure).

Hyundai Sonata: Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAPS). Repair procedures - Engine Control System - Engine Control/Fuel System - Hyundai Sonata YF 2011-2016 Service Manual

Measure the output voltage of the MAPS at idle and IG ON.
Test Condition
Output Voltage (V)
IG ON
3.9 ~ 4.1
Idle
0.8 ~ 1.6

Hi there,

I own a hyundai Sonata 2.0T 2011. I am trying to figure out how many wires the MAP sensor connector should have. I've located both sensors, but I noticed the connector for the sensor close to the throttle body has only three wires with. The pin in position 3 has been removed and the wire appears to be missing. Is this normal?

Sensor adjacent to throttle body will have 4 wire, as it primary for main engine control pressure and air temp..

2nd sensor on tube before throttle body is used for boost pressure value only
