For my 2013 Sonata, i currently have Fram oil filter which is 95% efficiency rated with my Synthetic oil for 6 months, no issues @ all.

I have 2 Supertech ST3593A Oil filter which i am planning to use, it is rated 98% for single pass efficiency & 99% rated for multi-pass efficiency which is pretty high....It has Synthetic fiber-enhanced filter, plated steel centertube, heavy gauge steel baseplate......

It has been sitting with me for couple of years.....it is in a box and in original condition with no sign of any damage......

Is it safe to use this filter on my next synthetic oil change ?

I see no issues with that as long as the rubber seal around the filter is soft and not dried out in any way.I use filters that are 2 years old although they are not for cars.

Thanks for the link, it was well worth reading the whole research of Fram which i currently have in my car vs Supertech 3593A......which i will be using for next oil change. Nice to know thatSupertech filter is of much higher construction than Fram.

yeah agreed with above, just remember to put a little oil on the seal.
