Battery - premature bad cell - 2011 GLS

My Sonata GLS has about 34k miles, bought new in July 2011. About a week ago, the battery lost its charge so I jump started it. AutoZone guy hooked up his battery tester gizmo and the display said "Bad Cell". Since then it has started every time. Anybody else had this happen? I plan to have one one place check the battery and see if they come up with the same diagnosis.
One local Nashville are dealer wants $139 for a new battery, they say the orig. battery has a full replacement up to 2 years and from 2 to 3 years they will pay 25% plus free labor. So it would cost me about $90. A friend of mine with a 2010 Veracruz w/ similar mileage had the same thing happen. Another Nashville dealer charged her $90. AutoZone wants $100 for a 2 yr replacement. Wal-Mart has one for $80 w/ 2 yr replacement and 700 CCA, the factory battery is only 600 CCA. O'Reilly's has one for $100 w/ 675 CCA, and they said on phone they have a low price guarantee, so I may see if they will honor Wal-Mart's $80 price. The size is 124R.

If it was bought new in July 2011 then you should still be within the 2-year warranty timeframe, so I don't see why the dealership is trying to charge you. Warranty should start when you purchase, not when the car was manufacturered. There's no mileage limit on the battery warranty.
