Sorry for your loss as well. Rockaway will be back but it is gonna be a long time before it's back to normal.
I'm few blocks from the precint. I saw lots of Sonata's destroyed in the parking lots of Dayton Towers

Here's one pic I took of 2 Sonata's. The amount of destruction and devastation here is unbelievable.

Clearly, the caption should read: "Sandy Agrees: Hyundai over Toyota!"

(Glad you guys are getting your lives back!)

Hey I'm not far from you. I live in 8800 building. If you're ever doing any modding I would love to help out or just chill and shoot the breeze while you work. Just send me a pm and I should
get it.

Goodbye 2011 Sonata SE. RIP. You were a good car. Thanks for the memories.

Hey, slightly off-topic, but has anyone else on this thread been getting multiple notification emails? I have been getting four, five, up to seven duplicate emails, telling me that someone has responded to this thread. I don't mean seven different responses; I mean seven duplicate emails, all at the same time, informing me of the activity.

Yes, this is a known issue. What you need to do is "unsubscribe" to everything and save. Then go back and subscribe again. This should solve most of the multiple email issues, but you may still get one here and there.

I have 2 threads that i subscribe too that I can't seem to fix so I tolerate it, but it was bad at first. Given that I'm a Mod, I was waking up to 70+ duplicate emails a day.

OK....back on topic. Glad you're fine Glenn. Nice to see something positive came out of something so devastating. Wishing all you East Coaster's well and you will get thru this.

Enjoy the new ride buddy!

OK, here's the ironic thing: I got NO email notification for this one, in which you tell me how to fix the problem! Wow. : )

Thanks for the assistance.

I couldn't get the $1,000 competitive because my Maxima was registered in my mothers name (cheaper insurance). The sticker price was $28,810. and I got it the car for $25,500 OTD. I wanted an SE with turbo and nav, but apparently they are hard to come by right now according to the salesman, but obviously he was trying to sell me something he had in stock. Basically it was either turbo or nav in either trim. There was a silver one they had coming in 2 weeks but I wanted black or harbor gray. They told me they can do a dealer swap but I'd get a better price if I took something they had in stock.

Compared to the 2007 Maxima I had, its tough to say. The Nissan had a much better ride, and felt a little more solid but I drive to Manhattan everyday from the Rockaways and sitting in traffic I was averaging 15-16mpg with my 19" wheels, and on top of that if I didn't get premium gas the car ran like $hit. The CVT tranny sucks major balls, there was no WOT lol. I wanted something good on gas and fun to drive. The Maxima was fully loaded so little bullshit things like heated steering wheel, power folding mirrors, reverse tilt down mirrors, and power passenger seat kind of spoiled me. Kind of dissapointed that the Limited Sonata doesn't have power folding mirrors, but I will have to live with it.
Is that $25.5k including tax?

I always had the maxima in my mind but to get the bells and whistles you have to go all the way up which makes it at least $10k higher than limited tubo sonata and you sacrifise on the mgp as well so its a no brainer specially with NY's traffic.

I tried the Azera but was not comfertable for me nor the genises

I leased, $308 a month with tax rolled into payments. Only thing I paid up front was $590ish for new plates and first payment. Sticker price on the car was $28,8xx

Yesterday, I took my cousin to the same dealer and got him the same exact car, 2013 Turbo Limited without Nav for $300 monthly, $0 down and $590ish upfront for plates and first month payment. Sticker price was $28,8xx

I was itching for another Maxima, it would be my 4th one but premium gas and getting 16mpg on a daily NYC commute gets old really really fast.
