Trouble Washing Windows

I've had my 2013 GLS for about 7 weeks now. Generally liking the experience. Gas mileage is creeping up slightly, and I have an oil change scheduled next week, so it might improve a bit more.

I've washed it three times so far. No issues with washing the outside, but I've noticed that both the front windshield and back window are angled severely, and getting all the way to the bottom of either piece of glass on the inside is difficult.

I admit to being both old and overweight, so my flexibility is a bit hampered. But I've not had this with any car I've owned before. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions for dealing with it?

There is a tool for cleaning car windows thats like with a microfiber towel on a stick with a movable head. Thats an awful description but check the car section at walmart and they should have it.

Edit found one online http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0029XJVA6/ref=mp_sim_s_2?pi=SL500_SY125

HA! Same boat here! It's probably why I'll pass on doing the LED mod in the foot wells LOL...Anyway to clean my streaked inside windows I wrapped a terry cloth towel around a swivel head extension wash stick. Sprayed it with good glass cleaner and ran it back and forth. I followed that with a dry towel to clean of the wetness. Getting to the rear was made slightly easier by dropping the 2 rear seats down. You might try a Swiffer? Or I've seen plastic extension sticks with pads on them $18 I think. Gettin' old sucks....

Same issue here! I got one of these at pep boyz, works good:

Stoner 95161 Invisible Glass Reach and Clean Tool : Amazon.com : Automotive

You can also unscrew the loop at the back of the handle and screw it onto a regular broom handle. I can clean the back window standing outside the car!

Trouble Washing Windows

Two suggestions: First, dampen a good sized rag (I like old 100% cotton bed-sheets) with glass cleaner (I've tried them all and Stoner's Invisible Glass is the best) and run it between the glass and the rear window light. Then use a back & forth motion (like shoe polishing) left to right. Or, I've also used a regular nylon or plastic pancake flipper and wrapped it with a rag (cotton or microfiber) and gotten behind the light with that. Good Luck!

I have used the tool described by the others for many years now and can recommend it as a good way to get the lower part of the windshield and rear window clean. I find it best to wash the inside of the windows first with a sponge and towel and get as much of the glass as clean as possible and you can then use the crevice tool to get the rest. Get extra pad covers since you can and only use them once or twice or they tend to smear if they get too dirty (the pad covers are washable).

Also if you haven't figured this one out yet, it is easier to do the back window with the rear seats folded down. That way you don't have the headrests in the way.
