Good luck taking it in. Hope they resolve it for you. By the way I have the leather seats and have the creak.

Thank you. I'll keep you guys posted. I have an assignment due this Friday which I'm diligently working on. I'm realistically planning on scheduling an appoint sometime in the middle of next week.

Sorry for taking so long. I officially have an appt set up with my dealer in a couple of hours.

If they don't fix it or provide anything to offset the inconvenience, I'm filing a complaint with headquarters. There's no excuse for such an annoying problem to be present in a brand new car.

I'll keep you guys posted.

They checked out my car and told me something along the lines of "I checked with my operations manager, service manager, and our certified technicians. They said that all Hyundai vehicles are like this - it's just the way they're built. My boss even told me that his $40,000 Genesis has the creaking problem"

...so apparently all Hyundais have this problem. Though I doubt it, I don't know what else to do at this point

I know it has been a while since the last reply in 2012.

My Sonata 2011 Limited also had the same creaking problem with the driver seat. I brought it to the dealer months ago but they said it will be costly to get it fixed. Just wonder if anyone was able to convince the dealer fixing the problem.

Thanks!!!

At least they offered a solution! The idiots at my dealership basically said I was SOL as all hyundais are like that...idiots.

Anyway, good luck. I ended up living with it and never notice it (maybe it even fixed itself over time after I broke the car in).

The Sonata is a very Creaky/clunky car..... from various locations in the dash, seats, roof liner, sunroof, center arm-rest, door panels and suspension/steering to name a few. I seem to be constantly chasing down some type of noise.

My center dash has recently gotten extremely creaky. Put something in the cup holder and I have to turn the radio up. Yesterday I ended up stuffing things around my coffee mug which helped but I have to redo it every time I take a drink of coffee. Didn't help the center console as a whole though. It's very annoying.

My current rattling problem: The door panel.

Whenever I play any song that has the slightest bass to it, it rattles and it sounds like a blown speaker which makes it SUPER annoying.

Putting my fingers on the rear window controls makes it stop...or sometimes I'll force my left leg against the door and that helps. But this is incredibly annoying. Anyone have this problem and a fix for it?

I'd rather not open up my door panel

Red Sled has the infamous rear suspension creak now.

Turning right is when it is most audible and its really making me mad. Planning on getting underneath her this weekend and tightening every suspension bolt to factory torque.

For the record, I have never hated doing brakes on car as much as the YF Sonata. That's how this whole mess started...taking apart the rear suspension to change the rotors.
