How much did you pay for your Sonata?

I'm in the market for a new Sonata GLS and am curious as to how much others have paid, compared to the MSRP price and how you did it!

So, even if you bought an SE or limited, please say how much you paid for it compared to MSRP and how you did it.

I searched around for threads discussing this but didn't find a good one (shouldn't this be a sticky??).

Anyway, input well appreciated! This is my first car that I am going out and buying with my own money!

26,700 for my 2012 limited w/ navigation pkg incl..tax, title, tags. MSRP is $29,490. I used the truecar.com numbers and negotiated from there.

That sounds like a good deal! That's way below the truecar "dealer cost"... Does yours have automatic transmission? How did you negotiate such a good deal?

2012 SE., $22100 before TTL using the last post from this thread:

Hyundai Circle Program Expires 8/31? - Page 2 - Hyundai Genesis Forum

That worked out to be 3% under "invoice". Obviously if you're good at haggling or negotiating, you can get them lower but I was happy with my deal, especially bc the dealership gave me a good price on my trade-in.

BTW, there's a pretty long thread around somewhere with lots of pages of prices, but it might be outdated now.

I got $1000 under invoice + $500 owner loyalty for my SE Turbo. Came to like $23100 before TTL. Couldnt negotiate out of the little addons (Mud guards, floor mats and cargo net) but I was OK with that - I wanted the mud guards anyway and ended up getting the all weather floor mats in addition to regular ones and wheel locks also.

I admit, I could have possibly knocked them down a little bit but they gave me decent price for my old 96 Saturn with corroded exhaust and bad brakes. That alone made it worthwhile.

Got my bank to do loan ahead of time for 2.39% for 60 months, so it was a relatively painless process. Took about an hour total.

Compared to my first experience with 05 Santa Fe (which took like 4 hours), this was awesome.

How did you get such a good deal? Am I missing out on some haggling techniques??
