So today is my 1 week anniversary of my new '11 Sonata! I was wondering how do I activate the "weather" portion of the XM Data screen. I get the traffic, stocks, and sports info but the weather option is grayed out? I live in Ft Lauderdale / Miami are so i'm sure it's not a location thing. Looked allover my manual and XM web site and can't find how to get it working.

Anyone have any clues? Let me know!

Thanks in advance

You will have to contact XM Radio for help on this. 800-967-2346. Have your radio ID number ready. It's available on channel 0 or channel 1 (sorry can't remember which one it is).

FYI for anyone having problems with XM Traffic....it's not available in 100% of the U.S. If you ever travel outside of a covered area the Nav Traffic button will go inactive until you re-enter a NavTraffic market area.

Good luck

Thanks. I will call them. For people that dont know, I just saw in my navigation manual from Hyundai, that I should be able to select weather then set my location and see the current weather and 3 day forcast. Pretty cool. Hope I get it working.

Thanks again.

I actually called them this morning. They did a re-set to my radio and now it's working. This is a very cool feature. I'm glad I have it, between the traffic and weather these might be the reasons I sign up for an XM subscription after my trial period ends. XM support was also very friendly and helpful.

Ok, now I see, I called them and it seems after my free trial I bought a one year plan and it only included XM audio.... so I will have to sign up for the weather and traffic video and pay the difference in May when my plan expires....

Thanks..
