I have a 2011 SE with NAV and am wondering about the "auto volume" button that is in the radio menu. It seems that it makes NO difference if I have it on or off.

I am assuming that this is for auto volume that changes with your speed. It seems that it makes no difference at all at any speed. I did a quick search to see if this has been talked about or not,but "auto volume" didn't bring up anything....

I have had vehicles in the past that the volume would increase/decrease with your speed. This does not seem to be the case.

Thanks!!

lol I saw that and asked the sales guy about that and he claims that's what it's supposed to do, but like you, I've never noticed a difference.

Never been a big fan of speed-sensitive volume and I turned mine on to see if it would work. It did, I didn't like it and turned it back off.

I'm like the first couple of posters - I have it turned on, but you would never know it...I can't notice it at all.

It appears that most people are feeling the same way.... I have not noticed a difference with the volume at all.
A friend of mine has contacted Hyundai Consumer Affairs and has an appointment scheduled next week to have someone look into it further,I will post with the outcome of what they have to say...

Thanks,
Scotty B

I've had my auto volume control ON since a few days after I got the car and sat down with the manual and went through all the settings and controls.
Like previous posts here, I don't notice any difference in the volume either.

I agree, I drove today and tried to notice the volume change while driving. I couldn't tell when the volume was raised. A prior vehicle I had was a Lexus GS300 and the volume increase was very noticeable while driving.
