Just went through my 2011 Sonata owner's manual from front to back. Unless I missed it somewhere, I could not find the bulb sizes chart for my GLS. I'm eventually going to switch out them OE bulbs with the LED upgrade. Could someone please post up a link where I can get this bulb size chart on line somewhere. The interior lites are eventually goin the LED route as well. Thanks fer your input!!!!

LOOKING FOR HELP- Xenon HID 2011 Sonata

Hello new to the forums,

I have a 2011 Sonata GLS, I want to install HID's never done it before but think I can do it. I've been reading up on them and watching how to videos on YouTube. Seems not to difficult. My only problem is cant find them, or the right kit (don't know exactly what kit or what I need)

From my research I think I want the 8000k (it's like a light blue)
Looking on eBay I think I can get them for around 85$

Thank you MUCH!
Looking forward to the replies

Plasti dipped the factory wheels and I love it

Low Beam - standard headlight beam (with headlights switched on)
High Beam - higher aimed light to get longer projection at night
DRL - in the US, this is a low-power setting on the high beam

The kit you linked to should work, however, if you look through the HID threads, a couple of words of warning:
1) It is best to install HID's with a relay harness (around $10). Hyundai switches the headlights direct from the computer box. HID's require a high amperage to start up. The high amperage draw can damage the computer box (very expensive to fix).
2) The Xentec brand has had a lot of negative reviews throughout the internet. For example, check the Amazon.com page for most of their line of products. Kind of scary! In the world of HID's, you definitely get what you pay for.

You beat me to it! LOL

It appears that they're listing several bulbs that it would fit. You might have to specify your bulb when you buy; I'm not entirely sure.

After looking at the bulb thread posted above; I see our cars take the H7 headlight bulb for both high and low beam. I also see in the ebay listing they show H7 as an application it would fit. So yes, that kit you're looking at should work.

I'll just share my experience with you regarding a kit I bought for close to $200. They listed that it works in motorcycles etc; I put them in my bike, 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts, professionally installed at the bike shop and within 1 month I had 1 totally dead ballast and 1 that worked now and then. I ended up taking the front end of my bike apart to remove the kit that I had installed. I think if I had gone with a kit from a more reputible supplier I would probably still have HID's in my bike. Sometimes you really get what you pay for.
