Unhappy 2003 Sonata sunroof stuck open.

Hi all,
My husband and I own a 2003 Sonata and have recently had issues with the sunroof being stuck open. The first time it happened, my husband and my dad were able to get it closed (somehow the visor was pushed too far back). Yesterday my husband accidetally bumped the 'Open' switch and we couldn't close it. It opens, but won't close, and now it's opened all the way again. We need to get it closed as the next few days it will be raining. Help!

The owners manual should have a section on how to close the sunroof manually. Your car should of also come with an allen key specially for this.

I looked up the owners manual for your year. You have to pull the cover off your your interior light assembly located above your rear view mirror. Remove the two mounting screws (phillips screw driver) from the light assembly and drop it down. This will allow access to a hex head socket point that is the hand crank for the sunroof. Once again, the wrench should have come with the car, in the original owners packet or in the glove box.
